A phototype tells you how skin reacts to sun. It does not tell you how much melanin sits under the beam today — and that is the question you answer when you set the energy.
"How much is one session?" is the wrong question and the wrong answer. A per-session price hides how many sessions there will be, and moves the risk onto you.
A patch test is a small trial on a fragment of permanent makeup or a tattoo. It shows how the pigment and the skin respond to the chosen wavelength and laser parameters. That observation helps plan what comes next and explain it better to the client.
